Hello!
So today's Sister Zschokke's last day in the mission! Crazy! She's totally stressing out and nervous to go home. Guess what the best part about being someone's last companion is. I get all of her stuff! :D She doesn't want to take home a lot of her clothes and missionary stuff so I get them all. Mwahaha. I'm super excited. I got a whole bunch of teaching aids and cute skirts. :D
We had three new investigators this week! Super excited! And they all show promise. Which is really nice. One is older and is a widow. She's a former and wants to study into the Book of Mormon again. Another is a former as well and she has awesome questions. We love her. Her name is Francine and actually has been in our church building before and she told us about when she was in there she had a dream that two angels came out of the chapel. In a place like this anyone else would have taken that as a sign that this was the church to join, but it actually scared her into not going back. Ha! We're hoping to conquer her fear though. :P The third is Adreana who is married to a member. They're a cute little spanish family. :) He speaks very little English so when he moved her he didn't go to church because we don't have a spanish ward, so we went to the Methodist church that does. That's where he met Adreana. We found out about them through a member here and are teaching him and his family. They have 2 girls and 2 boys. They're so cute. Adreana has a lot of questions (why do you talk about Joseph Smith so much, I thought no one could see God, what's the Book of Mormon, etc). He is awesome though and really wants to go to the temple.
Ok, so this area for the past year (at least) has been a training area, where President usually sends new missionaries. So everyone was thinking that I was going to train after Zschokke left. The way I'd find out is if President called on Sunday because that's when he calls to give leadership assignments to missionaries. So guess what happened Sunday. President called. We were in a lesson when he did so we had to call him back; and Sister Zschokke and I are totally freaking out because that means I'm training a new missionary, because the only other reason he'd be calling was if he was calling me to be a Sister Training Leader, but that couldn't possibly be it because I already knew I was staying in the area and the Sister Training Leaders are in Fairmont..... Well, we call him back and guess what the sly dog does. He calls me to be a Sister Training Leader in my area. So, basically, I'm really bad at making assumptions. :P My new companion is Sister Cutler who is coming from Morgantown (where WV University is) and she has never been a Sister Training Leader either. President said we'll figure it out together. :P
Yep, so that's basically the big news of the week. In other news, we tried ramps for the first time! Ramps are vegetables that grow here that are a mixture of onions and garlic. Veeerrrryyyy stinky. Veeerrryyyyy West Virginian. Veeerrryyyy yummy. :) The member that fed us gave some extra to Sister Zschokke to take home and share with her family. :D Haha!
Ok, this letter's long enough. Love you all! Have a fantastic week!
The Insane Assylum in Weston that is ACTUALLY HAUNTED!! Didn't go inside. :)
