Ashten got Baptized!!

YAY!!!!

It was awesome. :) Most stressful thing ever though! Story time!
So, the morning of the baptism Sister Zschokke wakes me up at 6 am lying on the floor, toooootally sick. She had been throwing up all night since midnight, poor thing!! We called the Ward Mission Leader and the Elders for a priesthood blessing because we had to go to the world wide missionary training broadcast and 10 and have our interviews with President as well as have district meeting, and then we had to prepare and be at the baptism. :P So they came over, blessed her, and she was good enough to go to the broadcast. Yay! She was still totally exhausted because she hadn't slept though. :(
The World Wide Missionary Training broadcast was awesome!!! A whole bunch of speakers talked about stuff from Preach My Gospel. The main focus was the statement: "We teach repentance, and baptize converts." A huge thing they talked about was the importance of having the spirit in the lessons because the spirit is the teacher and we are the tools. Not the other way around.
In interviews we all found out our departure dates because the MTC is now having English-speaking people stay for 3 weeks again so the transfer dates were really confused. :) I am leaving West Virginia on December 30th. :) I was going to leave on the 7th of January but there were a lot of different things that were affected by that and President decided that we'd go home the 30th instead. :) That means I'm going to be on a mission for 18 months and 2 weeks! That's two weeks longer than my sister! I win.
Anyway, on with the story. After the broadcast and the interviews and the district meeting, we drove home in a huge snow storm. :O Everyone in the ward was wondering if Ashten's baptism was still going to happen because it may be dangerous for people to be on the roads but the Ward Mission Leader said the show will still go on! Ashten was so cute, she came and she was like "The devil's trying to stop me from getting baptized but I'm here!" :P Haha! We had people from the ward assigned to give talks at the baptism but they were late, so that was a little stressful, but it all worked out and it was a very nice, spiritual experience. :) She said that the feeling she had after her baptism was the best feeling she had ever had. :) Ashten gave her family a tour of the chapel (which I loved) and we invited them all to her confirmation on Sunday... which wasn't last Sunday because of the storm so church was cancelled! So we're having her confirmation hopefully this coming Sunday. And Paige's baptism... :)

Our gigantic snow storm was from Friday to Sunday and President told us to stay indoors until it was safe. Sooooo we organized papers. All. Day. Long. But we did go out and play in the snow a little. :) It was up to our knees!!! And you couldn't see our car! The Elders came over afterwards and dug our car out so we could go visit people :)

The End

Have a wonderful week!
